About This Site

This site, “MoguExercise Enlightenment Project” (hereinafter “this site”), is an information site that introduces research papers on chewing (eating with thorough mastication) in a form that is easy to read for non-specialists. Articles are published in Japanese, English, and Chinese.

Our aim is to provide material for people interested in dieting or reviewing their eating habits to reconsider “chewing” based on published research, rather than on trends or advertising.

Operator

The operator is the developer of “MoguExercise,” an iOS app that supports building a chewing habit. For the relationship between this site and the app, see “Relationship with the App” below.

Articles on this site have not been supervised by medical professionals (physicians, dentists, pharmacists, registered dietitians, etc.). Given this premise, when handling health-related information, this site takes the position of guaranteeing the reliability of its articles through how faithfully they adhere to primary sources. The criteria for this are the editorial policy below.

Editorial Policy

  1. We check primary sources. For the research we introduce, we directly verify the original paper or official announcements from universities, academic societies, etc., and clearly state the source (paper title, publishing journal, link) within the article.
  2. We do not write anything the original paper does not say. We do not offer interpretations beyond the paper’s conclusions or suggest effects that the research does not demonstrate.
  3. We show the limitations of the research. To the extent known, we indicate within the article information that affects how the results should be interpreted, such as the number of subjects, the study period, whether the study targeted animals or humans, and whether it was an observational or interventional study.
  4. We also report when there was no significant difference. Selectively extracting only convenient results would create a gap between what the research actually showed and what readers take away.
  5. We do not fabricate personal accounts. We do not write personal accounts, case reports, or statements in articles that did not actually occur.
  6. We do not falsify update dates. The publication and update dates shown for articles are the actual dates. We only revise the update date when we make a substantive change to the content.
  7. We do not use exaggerated expressions. We do not use definitive expressions such as “will definitely make you lose weight” or “cures or prevents disease.” What research shows is, in most cases, a tendency under limited conditions, and our articles are written within that scope.

Limitations of the Information on This Site

The articles on this site are introductions and explanations of research, not medical advice (instructions for diagnosis, treatment, or prevention). If you have concerns about your health condition, or are undergoing treatment or taking medication, please be sure to consult a physician, dentist, pharmacist, or other professional. For details, see the Terms of Use.

Relationship with the App (Disclosure of Conflict of Interest)

This site is operated by the developer of the iOS app “MoguExercise,” and articles may introduce the app. At the same time, our policy is not to distort the selection or summary of introduced research in a way that would favor promoting the app.

At present, this site has no third-party advertising or affiliate links. If these are introduced in the future, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy and clearly indicate the relevant sections.

Corrections

If you notice an error in an article, please let us know via MoguExercise Support. After confirming the content, we will make any necessary corrections and revise the update date. Please note that confirmation and response may take some time.
